"I like to drink. I like wine with dinner, whiskey
with my cigarettes at the bar, or beer at the ballgame
with friends. It's a great way to unwind after a long,
stressful day. I know that it's unhealthy and reckless
to drink too much - but how much is too much? One drink
leads to two, two to three and before I know it - I've
lost control. I know I need to learn how to drink moderately,
or not at all."
Bill heard about Virtual Health Coach from a friend
who quit smoking. Smoking was a habit Bill wanted to
quit, too. He'd tried many times but always went back
to smoking. So, he visited Virtual Health Coach
and learned that he was more ready to quit smoking than
he was ready to stop drinking. So, he made a quit smoking
plan.
Coach
Kerrbie told him how important it was to get ready and
be prepared to quit. Part of his plan was to stay away
from his smoking hangouts for a while. He found out
that his smoking hangouts were his drinking hangouts!
So, the result of Bill smoking less was that he was
drinking less
much less. And, after he was smoke-free,
Bill's alcohol use stayed minimalwine with dinner
and an occasional beer at an occasional ballgame.
Often, lifestyle habits are linked. And when you address
one, you address another. It's important to decide which
one you're ready to tackle first. Virtual Health Coach
can help you decide and then make a plan to succeed.
