Susan Isenberg, Ph.D., the creator of Virtual Health Coach,
has been helping people and organizations solve problems
through a change management process that involves thinking,
feeling, planning, and motivation, since the mid 90's.
While working at a large health care system in the
Midwest, Susan co-developed and managed a successful
employee-based health coach program. The program helped
employees control the same unhealthy lifestyle habits
that Virtual Health Coach addresses - smoking,
weight, stress, exercise, alcohol, substance use, and
personal safety.
To reach a broader population with the same successful
behavior change process, Susan received a grant in partnership
with the Department of Defense to create Virtual Health
Coach. Today, all five branches of military service
have access to the program for the purpose of managing
the lifestyle health of military personnel. Public corporations
license Virtual Health Coach through corporate memberships
to improve the lifestyle habits of employees.
Virtual Health Coach users find it to be cost
effective, easy to use, confidential, convenient, and
inviting even to those who are unlikely to participate
in traditional wellness programs or services.
